WORKS IN METAL AT MACHADO-MUÑOZ, MADRID 2015
‘Works in Metal’ is a unique exhibition by Philippe Anthonioz and Michael Anastassiades, exploring the unexpected yet rewarding dialogue between the two designers. They are both interested in how their work interacts with the user, and the effect this has on the space in which they meet. The light, shiny pieces of Anastassiades, polished to the point that they look like mirrors, contrast with the rough, matte, dark pieces of Anthonioz. Yet, in a way, they are still similar – both use quality materials and have quality finishes. They share an inherent sensuality; a taste for proportion, a sense of timelessness.
