THE DOUBLE DREAM OF SPRING AT HERMAN MILLER SHOWROOM, MILAN 2016
Coinciding with Salone del Mobile 2016, Anastassiades presented the installation ‘The Double Dream of Spring‘; his inaugural collection of occasional furnishings created for Herman Miller.
For the show, the designer conceived an enigmatic environment inspired by metaphysical surrealism, recasting the architecture of the showroom as a neutral, rational backdrop in which to display his objects. His Spot stools and Stasis tables were displayed in an arrangement to suggest the game of chess.
