HALF A SQUARE FOR MOLTENI, 2020
‘I’ve always been fascinated with geometry, and how reduced sections meet to achieve lightness and structure.’
In its most basic configuration, the table is formed with four legs in the shape of isosceles triangles, which meet a frame made from the same section with a point at its outer edge. And, just at the moment where the legs are about to touch the frame, the section doubles to reinforce the structure where it’s needed most, and so the triangle becomes a square.
