Flint is a collection of tumblers made by striking the finished edge with a glancing blow to chip away fragments of the glass. This single, repetitive process allows Lobmeyr’s skilled craftspeople to manufacture pieces that are uniquely different from one another, although with the same overall look. The use of chipped glass – something usually associated with imperfection – creates a new definition of value.
