For the After Chair, designed for Fritz Hansen, I wanted to build on this principle. It wasn’t about creating something completely new but rather about reinterpreting familiar elements in a way that felt fresh yet connected to the past.” ‘After’ is a term used in art to reference work inspired by or derived from another artist’s creation. It reflects the collective evolution of design—acknowledging the past while creating something new.
