AFTER FOR FRITZ HANSEN
Danish design is built on honesty and gradual evolution, not abrupt changes. Many of the most iconic Danish designs were born from historical references and refined over time. For the After Chair, designed for Fritz Hansen, I wanted to build on this principle. It wasn’t about creating something completely new but rather about reinterpreting familiar elements in a way that felt fresh yet connected to the past.” ‘After’ is a term used in art to reference work inspired by or derived from another artist’s creation. It reflects the collective evolution of design—acknowledging the past while creating something new.
