A scaled-down bronze cast of the Pentadaktylos mountain mass, which is part of the Kyrenia mountain range that runs parallel to the northern coast of Cyprus.

Pentadaktylos is the best-known section of the Kyrenia mountains, to the extent that its name is often taken to be synonymous with the entire range. Its resemblance to a hand has generated numerous myths and it is sometimes said to be a handful of earth that was flung towards an enemy, or the handprint of the island’s saviour emerging from the sea.
