These four-phase mirrors were originally designed for the 2010 Time and Again exhibition at the Geymüllerschlössel branch of the MAK, on the outskirts of Vienna. The series reflects the lunar phases when there is just a small occlusion; where, to the observer, it is ambiguous whether or not the moon is actually full. Anastassiades is drawn to the tension inherent in such lunar phases and, like his work with spheres, these mirrors challenge this notion of perfection.
